This week, we're chatting with a haunt actor, an author and a cos-player, and it's all the same person. Find out how nursery rhymes and a mass ritualized suicide inspired Jackie Sonnenberg to create her new series.

Jackie Sonnenberg is an author/entrepreneur, or "authorpreneur" and has worked in journalism, creative writing, event planning and marketing. Favorite authors are Neil Gaiman, Orson Scott Card, Lisa See, Gregory Maguire, Edgar Allen Poe, Stephen King, Sarah Addison Allen, Suzanne Collins, J.K. Rowling and, the bard himself, William Shakespeare. Sonnenberg brings characters to life on paper as well as up close and personal as an avid costumer. She is involved in the Haunt industry as a haunted house actor and attends year-round conventions and events.

She and haunt co-worker friends started a year-round company specializing in interactive haunted attractions. They have two locations in the Wisconsin Dells and in Orlando called Zombie Outbreak, a haunted house meets laser tag.

She is currently with her haunt crew at their new attraction location in Orlando, while working on books!

Find Jackie at her website, jackiesonnenberg.com.
You can also find her on Twitter, Facebook, and her interview series on Medium.com.

As we begin our next series of author interviews, our first guest is speculative fiction author, Justin Bohardt. Justin is releasing the first book in a new series on the day this interview goes live, so no matter when you are listening, this interview and that series will always be the same age.

Justin Bohardt became a writer because he realized early in life that creating alternative realities was infinitely preferably than living in the existing one. A former reporter, he moonlights as an auditor for a Fortune 100 insurance company while crafting new worlds in every second of free time that he can find.

His fiction has appeared in magazines such as Hungur, Outposts of the Beyond, Potter’s Field, The Drabbler, and Micro 100; while his poetry has been featured in Scifaikuest, Aoife’s Kiss, The Martian Wave, and Champagne Shivers. Bohardt also contributes to the occasional trade publication and teaches the occasional class. He resides in Iowa with his family.

Justin can be found on Twitter at @gggeflat, His Facebook page is theauthorJustinBohardt, or you can find him at his website.
