Interview with espionage thriller writer Alan Petersen. Alan and I talk podcasting, politics, and why having a Costa Rican mother and an American father can lead to some interesting life experiences as fodder for a young writer.

Alan Petersen writes high-octane thrillers. He was born in Costa Rica and raised there and in Venezuela. He moved to Minnesota to attend college and married his college sweetheart. They now live in San Francisco with three small dogs on a quintessential steep city street (17% grade).

You can learn more about Alan and his books on his website: www.AlanPetersen.com

Interview with historical fiction author, Andrew Joyce. Andrew and I discuss the joys of hitchhiking, and the tragedy of our nation's shameful treatment of the indigenous peoples of the American west.

Andrew Joyce left high school at seventeen to hitchhike throughout the US, Canada, and Mexico. He wouldn’t return from his journey until decades later when he decided to become a writer. Joyce has written five books, including a two-volume collection of one hundred and fifty short stories comprised of his hitching adventures called BEDTIME STORIES FOR GROWN-UPS (as yet unpublished), and his latest novel, YELLOW HAIR. He now lives aboard a boat in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, with his dog, Danny, where he is busy working on his next book, tentatively entitled, MICK REILLY.

Interview with post-apocalyptic, and zombie writer, Graham Toseland. After accounting for everyone in America with the same first name, Graham and I discuss EMPs and what Scotsmen wear under their kilts.

Graham was born in Leicester in the UK in 1960 and currently resides in the depths of Northamptonshire in the rural heart of England.

He enjoys writing post-apocalyptic and zombie novels with less emphasis on violence and more emphasis on the human relationships and how they might change under extreme conditions.

There will always be a bit of gore for the more horror minded reader.

He lives with his partner and two kids, both teenagers, neither of which are fans of the post apocalyptic genres.

Sadly they got their mothers genes in that respect!!

The two family dogs, Basil the Labradoodle and Fozzie the Jack Russell/Bichon Frise cross are also not interested in his writing, preferring to sleep until car keys are rattled and a walk is in prospect.
The Spared Series is now all complete and the new series starting with August Bowditch and the Zombie Apocalypse is now on sale. You can catch up with Graham via Twitter @toselandauthor or via his blog www.backtowildwood.blogspot.co.uk
