Interview with noir mystery writer, WH Lock, author of the Jack Story mystery series. Joins us as WH and I discuss his influencers from super heroes, steam punk, and Raymond Chandler.

W.H. Lock was born in Chicago. He spent his childhood in rural Illinois running through the endless cornfields, and his teen years swimming in a few of the 10,000 lakes of Minnesota. He joined the US Army and drove an M1-A1 tank across the hills of Kentucky. Shortly after leaving the service he met a nice young woman and they decided to move to Texas. He went to college for a fiction writing degree (with a brief detour with being an accountant) at Texas State in San Marcos. He has worked in comic book shops, big box retailers, major telecoms, boutique advertising agencies, and currently is a freelance copywriter.

Interview with fantasy thriller writer Joseph Malik, author of the Otherworld series. Joseph, a former spec ops specialist who still serves in the reserves, shares with us everything he can about his stories without having to kill us.

Joseph Malik has worked as a stuntman, a high-rise window washer, a freelance writer, a computational linguist, a touring rock musician, and a soldier in the United States Special Operations Command. A veteran of Operation Enduring Freedom, he currently serves in the Army Reserve and lives in the Pacific Northwest along with his wife and their two dogs. His website is josephmalik.com.
